What is a Tiny House Village?
LIHI’s Tiny House Village program provides individual shelters in a safe community setting all while helping residents secure permanent employment and housing.
The Low-Income Housing Institute developed the Tiny House Village Program in 2013 as an inexpensive and effective response to the homeless crisis in Seattle. As part of our commitment to quality housing, each tiny house is safe, warm, and secure with individual locks and heating units. Onsite case management helps residents find permanent employment and housing promoting self-sufficiency.
Now, with several sites across the nation, LIHI hopes to expand and eventually share their housing developments and advocacy work across the West Coast. With your support, we will continue to support and advocate for our low-income and homeless neighbors. Remember, no contribution is too big or small.
We are all in this together!
