What is a Tiny House Village?
LIHI’s Tiny House Village program provides individual shelters in a safe community setting all while helping residents secure permanent employment and housing. We currently have villages in Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia.
The Low-Income Housing Institute developed the Tiny House Village Program in 2013 as an inexpensive and effective response to the homeless crisis in Seattle. As part of our commitment to quality housing, each tiny house is safe, warm, and secure with individual locks and heating units. Onsite case management helps residents find permanent employment and housing promoting self-sufficiency.
LIHI’s program has inspired other communities across the nation to build their own villages. With your support, we will continue to support and advocate for our low-income and homeless neighbors. Remember, no contribution is too big or small.
We are all in this together!
