Gossett Place is located in Seattle’s U District. The building is named in honor of King County Council Chair and human rights champion, Larry Gossett.
Units: 62 for homeless young adults and veterans
Eligibility: Income must be verifiable as less than 30% of Area Median Income (AMI). All applicants must be verified as homeless, and are screened for criminal and residential history, eligibility for clinical services through Sound Mental Health.
How to Apply: Gossett Place does not accept applications. Please do not contact the property directly. Placement is done by referral from King County Client Care Coordination only. Historical: The property was originally planned as a boutique hotel, but during the economic downturn in 2008 that project fell through and LIHI was able to buy it “shovel-ready” and use the hotel plans with only minor alterations. Gossett Place Grand Opening Press Release (2011)
